PIPS

Our Park Improvement Project Grants program is designed to meet real needs in our state parks that often do not get attention through other means. 

These grants are available to all Washington State Parks on an annual basis and are funded through donations you provide. 

The following parks are past Park Improvement Project Grant recipients.

Creating Deeper Connections in Palouse Falls State Park

The Junior Naturalist & River Rangers Programs offer engaging experiences for young visitors to learn about the natural history of Washington’s official waterfall in Palouse Falls State Park.

Gingko

After a wildland fire destroyed trail signs, new wayfinding signs will help guide visitors along the Ginkgo Petrified Forest Interpretive Trail in Eastern Washington.

Quench Your Thirst and Recycle at Sun Lakes - Dry Falls State Park

Park Improvement Project Grant supports the purchase and installation of a water bottle refilling and drinking station for Sun Lakes – Dry Falls State Park. 

Wayfinding Signs in Riverside State Park

New trail markers help guide visitors along the Little Spokane River Natural Area, as part of a larger mapping project in Riverside State Park.

New and Improved Camping Experiences

With support from 2020 Park Improvement Project funds, Fort Ebey State Park will be able to build twelve new tent pads for campers to enjoy a comfortable and safe place to set up their tents.

Blue Mountain Blooms

Flora and fauna enthusiasts will enjoy the new signage upgrades along the Fields Spring Native Plant Interpretive Trail in the Blue Mountains of Southeastern Washington.

New Stairs Along the Discovery Trail

Park Improvement Project Grant supports new stairs and trail repairs at South Whidbey State Park.

History Comes to Life in Kittitas Valley

As a donor-selected Park Improvement Project Grant recipient, Olmstead Historical Place State Park will be able to continue efforts to restore and rebuild the Altapes Creek Interpretive Trail while sharing the stories of early homesteaders.
