This project helped improve environmental and health conditions in the beautiful South Puget
Sound, including in waters adjacent to Penrose State Park, Cutts Island, Kopachuk, and Joemma
parks. Donors made it possible to replace the mobile pumpout vessel serving these areas, thereby
enabling boaters a convenient and sustainable way to dispose of sewage. Now boaters can continue
to visit the Puget Sound No Dishcarge Zone as they “camp on the water,” mooring multiple nights
at our docks.
