Great WA Camp-In Presenters

The Great Washington Camp-In aims to bring the spirit of Washington state parks to attendees’ homes, as they enjoy an evening of fun programming from their living rooms or back yards.

 

The evening consists of Washington State Parks ranger talks and performers who will share their artistry.

Chef Kathy Casey

Kathy Casey is a celebrity chef, mixologist, and pioneer in the bar-chef movement. She played a key role in bringing Northwest cuisine to national prominence and, as one of the first female executive chefs in the United States. Kathy is sharing recipes for Great WA Camp-In and a special story – Living in the Beautiful Northwest.

Musician Johnny Bregar

Johnny Bregar is an engaging performer for kids and families. Johnny’s songs are about everyday life as a child. He reaches across cultural and geographic boundaries with comfortable and familiar tunes that spark the imagination.

Poet Kamari Bright

Kamari Bright will share her poetry that aims to inspire all creative souls, from young to seasoned.  Her performance is brought to you by the Washington State Parks Folk & Traditional Arts Program with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and donors to Washington State Parks Foundation.

Musician Brittany Collins

Brittany Collins aims to lift your spirits and bring us all together via livestream concerts. Her  childhood influences include Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar and Johnny Cash.

Musician & Dancer Charmaine Slavens

Charmaine Slaven is going share a fun and interactive demonstration of Appalachian flatfooting, a folk dance style that evolved alongside fiddle music. Her performance is brought to you by the Washington State Parks Folk & Traditional Arts Program with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and donors to the Washington State Parks Foundation.
