Washington Happy Little Trees 5K

You’re going to love going for a run with Bob Ross… in spirit! And to support the trees and your state parks!

Inspired by Bob Ross’ passion for the outdoors, the Washington State Parks Foundation is pleased to host Washington’s “Run for the Trees: Happy Little (Virtual) 5K” which takes place between Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 26).

No matter how you reach the finish line – walk, run or roll – you pick the pace and the place, anywhere outdoors!

Registration for the event is now closed with over 487 enrolled to participate for Washington! Not only are these individuals, teams and families engaging in a fun event, they are helping to support forest restoration in Washington state parks.

To all who are participating, we thank you! We hope you enjoy your challenge and reach out with photos of you wearing your “Happy Little Trees” T-shirt.

This Earth Month, if you could not run or walk or roll to support the trees – would you consider donating for the Earth Day Challenge?

This event is not just a race; it’s a movement towards creating more sustainable and resilient park ecosystems for future generations to enjoy.
