Over 500 supporters went for a run with Bob Ross… in spirit... to support the trees and your state parks!
Inspired by Bob Ross’ passion for the outdoors, the Washington State Parks Foundation hosted Washington’s “Run for the Trees: Happy Little (Virtual) 5K” which took place between Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 26). Funds raised will support tree plantings.
Thank you to all who participated. No matter how you reached the finish line -by walking, running or rolling – you are leading in helping the forests of the evergreen state!
Registration for the event is now closed with over 500 enrolled to participate for Washington! Not only did these individuals, teams and families engaging in a fun event, they are helping to support forest restoration in Washington state parks.
