Nolte State Park is a 117-acre day-use park with 7,174 feet of freshwater shoreline on Deep Lake in the Green River Gorge. Covered with forests and blessed with water, the land was a resort for many years before it was donated to State Parks. Formerly a vacation resort known as Deep Lake Park and owned by the Nolte family, the area was donated in the early 1970s to the state of Washington by Minnie Nolte, for whom the park is named.
