Our Park Improvement Project program is designed to meet real needs in our state parks that are often too small to get attention through other means. Our members also help us by voting to help select 2017 grantees. They recently voted and awarded Lewis and Clark Trail State Park a grant for new tipi platforms to diversify camping options. The award is for $2,100 and tipis will be installed in time for 2018 summer camping season.
Lewis and Clark Trail State Park is located in southeast Washington. This state park is the rare provider of public land campsites with amenities within this region.
Park Improvement Project grants are funded by our donors and are available to all Washington State Parks on an annual basis. Right now we are busy soliciting proposals projects to share with our members who will vote to help select 2018 grantees.
Read about other recent grantees and get inspired to do your part to help your state parks by giving by December 31 and doubling your gift through our match fund!
